A story with past, present and future

The beginning

In the 1950s, Júlio Moreira Gomes and Joaquina Pereira Lopes got married and with the aim of getting something more out of life, they left for São Luís de Maranhão, Brazil.

In this place, Júlio Gomes' entrepreneurial spirit found fertile ground, and with close collaboration with the local Portuguese community,

launches the Rosa Construction Materials House, also having a shareholding in another type of business.

The success and knowledge acquired through the commercialization of materials meant that it evolved naturally into the construction and engineering sector. He built multiple equipment and housing buildings for the Community, both for the public and private sectors, for more than 20 years.

Return to Portugal

In 1980 he returned to his roots, D.Joaquina and his daughter convinced Júlio to return to Portugal, more specifically to his homeland in the city of Maia, beginning a new chapter there.

Júlio Gomes, realizing the growing post-revolution dynamism in the construction sector in Portugal, decided to start in real estate development and construction, giving rise to BRASICOR- real estate ventures. It builds multi-family buildings, as well as commercial areas in the center of Porto, Matosinhos and Maia.

At the end of the 90s and during the crisis in the sector, it expanded and diversified operations into industrial construction, now with a second generation of family management.

Today, the legacy of the past embodies a new strategic vision, the belief in the importance of the housing sector for fruitful future development.
